Given the recent number of projects I have been involved in or am about to be involved in which use photography and social media combined; I decided to try to fully immerse myself in this culture. I like taking photos but I am not that good at it and don’t normally publicise my efforts. However in the sprit of understanding I have decided to have a go with Project 365. The idea is a great one, you take a photo every day for a whole year; and upload each one every day. I have been trying this for the past few days and found it to be really enjoyable, these trial pictures are available in the photos section of this site. I will be posting to the main Project 365 site each day (or at least I will try to), I will also be posting the images to this site and Facebook.
This attempt at improving my photography skills also helps with my other resolution, to loose weight, by getting me out of the office/flat and out looking for something to take a picture of. It was rather a surprise to find so many resources so close at hand, Coventry Cathedral and Memorial Park are both only a few minutes away from both my office and flat, with several other great places in the local vicinity. However sitting here in Starbucks having a Fruit bread with butter, is probably not such a good start

This January sees the release of a new version of Telerik’s CMS solution Sitefinity, I have been using Sitefinity for a year now for both this site and my company site; and will be updating both sites as soon as the new version is released on 14th January.
The Midlands Developer Network will be holding its first meeting of the year on Tuesday 8th January, kicking off the new year with a look at Facebook integration using the popular Facebook Developers Toolkit. As always this event is free, so if you would like to meet like minded developers for an informal coding session then please join us in the HTDI Building in Coventry on 8th January at 7pm. A brand new website for the group will be launched around 14th January when it will be moved to the Sitefinity platform, the current site has not been updated in a long time, partly due to lack of spare time but mostly because I have forgotten the login details!
